About this cut
Fresh buffalo pancreas, cleaned, portioned and frozen. Pancreas is a secreting organ, the same group as kidney and spleen, and it has a mild taste that most dogs and cats take to quickly. Raw pancreas contains the animal’s own digestive enzymes, and it’s a dense source of protein and fat. In a raw or fresh-food diet, secreting organs other than liver are usually fed at about 5% of the total. Pancreas can cover part or all of that share. Start with a small piece mixed into your pet’s regular meal, then build up over a week so their stomach has time to adjust.
